 Semi Auto Shotgun
« Thread Started on Oct 12, 2009, 6:23pm »

I'm starting to look at a new semi auto shotgun. I was wondering if anybody has one out there sitting in the safe they might want to get rid of. I know I want a 12 gauge, and it either a black synthetic or camo. I'm still shouldering different guns right now so if you have one tha tyou might want to get rid of post here or pm me.

Jake

I'm really looking at being pretty frugal, at most I really want to spend is probably 700 bucks but would really like to spend less than that. I'm looking at 11-87 because I love the remingtons, Ive found a nice Franchi but I want synthetic and it's wood. I'm also starting to look at a Weatherby SAS or a Mossberg 935. I like the 935 because it will use 3.5" shells where most of the others are only 3 inch chambers.

Go to Wally-World and check out the SPR 453. It is made by Baikal, but it it has Remington's name on it. It is only $397 is why im looking at it. I have checked duckhuntingchat.com and alot of guys have this gun and like it.

Yeah I've checked out that gun, i liked the way it felt but the one the wally world has here is all scratched up it looks like a small pin has falled out and the craftsmanship on it looks a little rough. I figure they could get me one in good shape but if it fell apart in transportation to the store I don't think I want it in the field. I'm still doing some online searching about that gun though.

Thanks

I've alway been kind of a snob about guns, but honestly the 935 Mossberg I picked up last year has functioned perfectly and it patterns very well. Even includes a little shim kit to adjust the point of aim (which I didn't need). It ain't blued steel and walnut, but it is a very serviceable tool.
